Frequently asked questions.

What can I expect?

Investigating and pursuing therapy can be a very daunting process. However, clients can expect a professional yet relaxed environment with a therapist who is empathic and supportive. All sessions and information shared with your therapist is confidential.

What are your rates?

Fees are in accordance with medical aid rates. There is an additional rate for Equine Assisted Psychotherapy sessions, which is not covered by medical aids. However, consideration is given to individual circumstances and discussions around fees are encouraged.

Can I claim from medical aid for my sessions?

The practice is registered with the board of healthcare funders, so, if your plan benefits and saving allow, medical aids should cover the cost of sessions.

I am registered with all medical aids and am able to claim directly on your behalf.

How long are the sessions?

Therapy sessions for individuals (adults and adolescents) are usually between 50 and 60 minutes long.

How many sessions do I need?

Therapy is a highly individual and tailor-made process and therefore number of sessions can vary. This depends on the clients presenting concerns and therapeutic goals. The length of treatment and number of sessions can be discussed with your therapist throughout therapy.
